The word is in, and the original Pac-Man is the most popular installment of the Pac-Man series. Taking in almost 42% of the vote, Pac-Man surprisingly overcame Ms. Pac-Man who, from initial poll results, seemed to have been the clear winner. Ms. Pac only took in about 25% of the vote, but together, the top two games represented nearly 70% of all gathered votes. Less then 10% actually responded that they didn't play Pac-Man and apparently 3% of the site viewers had no idea who Pac-Man is.
This week's poll asks what games you play most when you visit a Namco Arcade. Fighting games such as Tekken Tag, puzzle games such as Tetris, or the redemption games that dispense tickets? Whatever it is, let us know!!! |

Today, we have opened the Tekken 4 website. Included on this site are all of the background stories for the game, as well as the individual default characters. Also, new game mechanics such as walls, position reversals, and side moves are revealed.
The final three default characters have been released as well. We're sure it comes as no surprise to many that Yoshimitsu is among the list, but we're sure you'll be interested in who Craig Marduk and Christie Monteiro are.
So head on over to the new Tekken 4 site, take a look around, and then head on over to our discussion forums and let us know what you think.

A couple of changes have taken place in our Discussion Forums. First, the master index of topics on each board now shows the first 40 topics, and then creates sub-pages for each additional page of topics. This allows for easier navigation and quicker loading of boards. Secondly, you may now access sub-pages of posts from the thread link itself. Depending on how many posts you have set your profile to display on each page, you will see these "[Page: 1 • 2 • 3]" type links underneath the subject of a thread. For instance, if you have your profile set to display 20 posts, if a thread contains more than 20 posts, the link will appear.
Additionally, we have updated our N-Code list to include the new [link] and [elink] tags to allow users to display custom link text with their links. Check out the N-Code List for more details. |

In what will probably be viewed as a slightly skewed poll (and rightfully so...), fighting games came out in first place with nearly 67% of the votes in the last poll. Of course, being that we recently moved both of the Soul Calibur and Tekken Tag Tournament official websites and have them pointing at us, as well as the new Tekken 4 site being here, one might be less than surprised that fighting games came out on top. Shooting games came in second place (just squeaking ahead of driving games in third) with about 11% of the vote, while prize dispensing games came in last.
This week's poll wants to know what your favorite snack food is when you head out to the movies. What's the one thing you just can't live without when you get to the theater? Is it that cool, refreshing Icee, or maybe just a bag of popcorn? Let us know!!! |

Kazuya Mishima won the vote to be featured on the July 2001 downloadable calender (featured in our Downloads Section). So head on over and pick up this great wallpaper that also lets you keep track of how many days left until Friday!!!
Now the polls are open for the August calendar, so head on in to our Discussion Forum and let us know who you would like to see! |
The Tekken 4 official website has been updated with a new Media Section that contains several game screenshots. In addition, there is a short GIF animation video that shows one of the benefits of Steve Fox's sway techniques, and a link to the E3 teaser from May.
So head on over, take a look around, and once you're done there, head on in to our Discussion Forum and tell us what you think about what you've seen! |
